Lipi Gandhi

Founder

Lipi Gandhi is a water and sustainability professional working across ESG, water risk, environmental compliance and climate resilience. Her work bridges data-driven ESG assessment with practical, on-ground environmental advisory, helping industrial and institutional clients translate regulatory and sustainability requirements into measurable outcomes.

Before founding PlanetCare Solutions, she was a Research Analyst at ISS-STOXX, where she led water, waste and multi-utilities sectors and served as global thematic lead for water risk and stewardship across the firm's industry rating templates, contributing to indicator design, automation and scoring methodology. She currently also serves as Digital ESG Advisor to Simon India Ltd, an Adventz Group company.

Her earlier experience includes research roles with the Council on Energy, Environment and Water on climate resilience, and with Royal HaskoningDHV on urban hydro-meteorological risks. She has led geospatial-education training programmes for students and educators across India, Nepal and Bangladesh since 2020.

She holds an MSc in Water Science & Governance from TERI School of Advanced Studies (Gold  Medallist), and a BSc in Environmental Science from Fergusson College, Pune. She is a C4Y-IWP Water Champions Youth Fellow.

Pankaj Gandhi

Technical Advisor

Pankaj Gandhi is an industrial water and wastewater treatment specialist with over 25 years of experience in water management, industrial pollution control and environmental engineering. His expertise is rooted in extensive field experience with industries, providing practical solutions for wastewater treatment, pollution control systems and environmental infrastructure tailored to the requirements of individual industrial operations.

His work covers the design, fabrication, construction, commissioning and operation of Effluent and Sewage Treatment Plants, along with pollution control equipment and related industrial systems. He also brings extensive experience in Pollution Control Board licensing, consent management and regulatory requirements for industrial operations, helping industries navigate environmental approvals and establish systems aligned with their operational needs.

As Technical Advisor to PlanetCare Solutions, he provides technical direction on Water & Wastewater Treatment, Industrial Pollution Control, Pollution Control Equipment, Treatment Plant Design and Fabrication, Consent Management, Environmental Licensing and Industrial Environmental Compliance. He is also ISO 14001 certified, bringing an environmental management systems perspective to his technical expertise.

Dr. Fawzia Tarannum 

Technical Advisor

Dr Fawzia Tarannum is a water and sustainability professional with 28 years of experience across water governance, climate resilience, ecological restoration, sustainable agriculture, ESG, resource efficiency and nature-based solutions. 

Her work bridges science, policy, technology and implementation, with a strong focus on translating sustainability goals into practical and measurable outcomes. She has worked with industry, government institutions, academic organisations, civil society and communities. 

She holds a PhD in Water Governance from TERI School of Advanced Studies, an MSc in Water and Sustainable Development from IHE Delft Institute for Water Education, and a B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from Aligarh Muslim University. She is also a Fulbright–Humphrey Fellow, with academic engagement at Cornell University. 

Her areas of expertise are Water Governance & Security, Climate Resilience, Regenerative Agriculture, Ecological Restoration, ESG & Sustainability Strategy, Nature-Based Solutions, Impact Assessment, Gender & Social Inclusion, Policy & Institutional Advisory and Capacity Building.
